Description Andreas Schneider 2010-12-12 11:54:51 UTC
Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

I tried to send an email and it stopped working. My mailserver supports only PLAIN over TLS. It works just fine with kmail but stopped working with kmail2.

It looks like it worked from the postfix log but the client dropped the connection.

Dec 12 11:52:43 milliways postfix/smtpd[10354]: warning: nrbg-d93231af.pool.mediaWays.net[217.50.49.175]: SASL PLAIN authentication failed: lost connection after AUTH from nrbg-d93231af.pool.mediaWays.net[217.50.49.175]

Let me know if you need additional information. I'm 'gladiac' in the #kontact channel if I should debug something.

Reproducible: Didn't try

It's always reproducible here.
Comment 2 Andreas Schneider 2010-12-13 15:16:25 UTC
If someone wants to fix this, I can offer/create an email account for this setup.
Comment 3 Andreas Schneider 2011-01-01 18:23:44 UTC
It works, looks like KMail lost the password somehow. Can't reproduce this at the moment.
