Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.4) OS: Linux Hi , first of all , sorry for posting here , it should be assigned to dolphin team , but .. it's same reason for the last bug i posted against Amarok ( although it's invalid ) OK , the other types of folder view has totally no problems at all. ( icons and pure lists ) , for a proper directory that user has ability to write files to , column won't show "Create File" menu ( was grey , *newMenu was disabled ) , but if i switch to other types , i.e Icon view , and switch back immediately , i could see "Create File" menu became usable. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open dolphin , make sure that it will open with "Column View" by default ( i'm using same view mode for all folders , that could be set when configuring dolphin ) 2. Open dolphin , point to /tmp , you'll got the problem , "Create File" menu was totally grey , and so for QAction move_toTrash , but shell command "touch /tmp/a" works like a charm.
Please post a patch here when it's done , thanks , it really annoyed me a lot ;-)
