Description Jota Jota 2010-12-09 21:20:03 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

The script located in /etc/X11/Xsession is not sourced from /etc/kde4/kdm/Xsession. I checked a previous version of the kdm/Xsession file and at the end was the following lines:

#invoke global X session script
. /etc/X11/Xsession

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Login to the machine thru the GUI

Actual Results:
For example, you can't use ssh-add command cause there is no ssh-agent running

Expected Results:
All the xsession functionalities should be available

Due to the new nature of the script, I suspect a lot of things are changing, and maybe the global Xsession file should be sourced from some other point, but for sure that place doesn't exist right now.

that's ubuntu's change, if anything - upstream kdm always had its own Xsession script.
