Version:           4.5.4 (using KDE 4.5.4) 
OS:                Linux

When clicking on a link to for example a ODF file that points to a new window (target="_blank" in the HTML) konqueror opens a new window (or tab) before considering the content type.

I find that is a regression, as in earlier versions of KDE this misbehavior was not present.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
click a link to a non-HTML file that should open in another application, where the link points to a new window ot tab

Actual Results:  
a blank window or tab is opened, then the other application

Expected Results:  
the othere applications is opened immediately, in stead of the blank tab or window

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.36-ARCH
