Version: 1.12.4 (using KDE 1.2) OS: Linux Recently the checking progress bar has disappeared from the bottom right of the main kmail window. Instead I get a string of popup messages stacked up on the bottom left of the window which say things like "Checking account...", "Retrieving messages..." and so on. These disappear after a second or two, but are very distracting: a whole set pops up each time I change to a new folder. I have searched all the settings and configure windows I can find, but I can't find anything related to this! I even tried restoring kmailrc from a backup, but that had no effect! Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Have not been able to restore original behaviour, so cannot reproduce it!
I haven't found a GUI setting that allows you to hide the popups. But the setting is stored in ~/.kde/share/config/kmail.notifyrc
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
