Description Thiago Macieira 2010-12-07 12:18:16 UTC
Version: 2.0.89 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

The quick search field atop the message list allows one to type words and have them searched on the fly. In KMail 1, if you changed folders while the field was not empty, it would be cleared and the new folder's entire message list would be shown.

In KMail2, the field's behaviour is cleared, but the field isn't visually cleared.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a folder with messages
2. Type something in the Quick search field
3. Select another folder with messages

Actual Results:
The new folder's full message list is shown (as expected), but the quick search field still contains the contents.

Expected Results:
The new folder's full message list should be shown and the quick search field should be cleared.

Moreover, after this happens, it's not possible to modify visually the field. If you click on the field and type, nothing is shown, but the message list does react and filters.

Since the field doesn't react, it's also not possible to erase the contents that are being shown.

What's more, the Clear icon button is missing.

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35.2-server-1mnb
Compiler: gcc

I can't reproduce it.
So I think that it's fixed.
I close it
