Description tbohaning 2010-12-06 20:30:07 UTC
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.5.80)
OS: Linux

The log file ~/.local/share/akonadi/akonadiserver.error needs to have some additional detail. There are 2 typical messages in the log file:

1) ItemRetrieverException : Unable to contact resource

2) ItemRetrieverException : Unable to retrieve item from resource: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Both of these messages would be of much greater value if they indicated what specific resource was having an issue. Right now there is no way to tell if one or more resources is having an issue.

Could you please indicate which resource is having an issue in the error message?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Always shows up in my log files....

Expected Results:
Would like to see something like the following:

ItemRetrieverException : Unable to contact resource (Gmail Contacts)

I'm not sure how the resources are named. Be happy to chat
