This is a dng from an .arw file.

Version: 1.6.0 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

An ARW file which has the luminosity channel graph in the Image Editor nicely streched over 4/4 of the graph, gets converted to a DNG file which has the luminosity graph start at 2/4. The picture looks brighter, has less contrast and also seems pink-ish.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
use dngconverter to convert a sony .arw file

Actual Results:
brighter, less contrast, pink-ish image

Expected Results:
create identical image

I hope I do something wrong but can't find it.

Gerben,

this bug should be fixed with KDEs 4.5.4 libkdcraw (blacklevel processing). Which camera do you use (for verification)?

Best, Jens

Sony A700

Can I download the latest libkdcraw somewhere so I can compile and test it?

I use A500 and A450 at home, and i confirm that ARW file problem is fixed with current implementation from svn...

Currently i work on this version with new demosaicing methods :

http://websvn.kde.org/branches/extragear/graphics/libkdcraw/

It will be released with future KDE 4.7

But current code from svn is enough :

http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdegraphics/libs/libkdcraw/

It will be released with next KDE 4.6

KDE 4.5.4 is already released (http://kde.org/announcements/announce-4.5.4.php), perhaps you distro provide updated versions, too.
