I deleted all IMAP mail from a subfolder that contained filtered mail from a group list. (Ctrl-A followed by delete key on keyboard)

(while that process was going)

I then searched Trash folder for Logwatch reports, selected all using Ctrl-A. Then used delete key to remove the bulk of reports
I then searched for Cron reports in Trash folder, selected all with Ctrl-A. The used delete key same as above

Kmail crashed immediately following the use of the delete key
