Description squan 2010-12-05 21:46:07 UTC
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.5.80)
OS: Linux

I did the switch to kmail2 today.
Migration of mails in mail folders proceeds successful but then fails with
kmail-migrator(12719): "Folder /home/stefan/.kde4/share/apps/kmail/imap/.511463821.directory/.INBOX.directory/Entwürfe does not seem to be a valid email folder" collection: Collection ID: -28732 remote ID: "Entwürfe"
   name: ""
   url: KUrl("akonadi:?collection=-28732")
   parent: -28733 "INBOX"
   resource: ""
   rights: QFlags(0x1|0x2|0x4|0x8|0x10|0x20)
   contents mime type: ()
    CachePolicy:
   inherit: true
   interval: -1
   timeout: -1
   sync on demand: false
   local parts: ()
    CollectionStatistics:
   count: -1
   unread count: -1
   size: -1

Inspecting the imap folder in .kde4 shows that the real [Google Mail] folder has not leading dot, like this:
  .kde4/share/apps/kmail/imap/.1938813829.directory/[Google Mail]

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Upgrade to KDE-4.6 (beta)
2) start migration tool by starting kmail

Actual Results:
Migration tool failure

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
