Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS: Linux Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0. Set host name to linux.site. 1. Send a new PERL bug containing the following message: Subject: Wish: provide a MIME type for POD files Category: install Severity: wish [Please describe your issue here] When I open a POD file in Dolphin, such as /usr/share/doc/packages/apache2-mod_perl/docs/user/intro/overview.pod, it opens in a text editor. This is a suboptimal way of reading documentation. I would rather prefer an action to be run. However, I cannot define such an action because the perceived MIME type of the file is text/plain. TO DO: .1. Define a MIME type text/x-perldoc for POD files. Install the definition in the shared MIME database. .2. Define a perldoc action to display the POD file formatted. .3. Associate the type with the action. [Please do not change anything below this line] 2. Tell Kontact to check incoming mail from the local host. 3. Tell the text of the Undelivered message to open. Actual Results: 2. Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender <perlbug@perl.org>: host mx.develooper.com[207.171.7.76] said: 450 Could not resolve linux.site (in reply to MAIL FROM command) Parts: Notification, Delivery report, Undelivered message 3. KWrite shows a new document window and a message box telling you that Documents cannot be opened because it is a directory. Expected Results: 3. Let KWrite show a temporary file containing the text of the Undelivered message. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.5-desktop Compiler: gcc
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
