Description niburu1 2010-12-04 23:31:12 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.80)
OS: Linux

When I insert USB storage, two entries of the device appear in Dolphin. This is true also for the Device Notifier widget.

Related, sometimes mount options are shown that do not work. E.g. when I insert my iPod there are four entries listed, two for IPOD and two more for iPod. Those for 'iPod' don't mount.

Reproducible: Always

Can confirm this for 4.5.80.
Not Dolphin's problem, in Krusader I have this problem too. One of the items named for example as "ATA FUJITSU ...", another as "Hard Drive".

Duplicate of Bug 258638, which been fixed already.
Comment 7 Alex Fiestas 2012-04-22 01:33:18 UTC
This was clearly a bug created because having two backends running at the same time (udisk and hal).

Closing since nowdays only UDisk is used on this platform.

Thanks for reporting !
