Description Jay 2001-05-18 21:46:00 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: 1.2 (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.4.0 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

I want KMail to not ask for the password after I once pressed 'Cancel'. When I am not online and have KMail running it asks me about the password everytime it tries to connect the pop server. When I press Cancel I want KMail to shut up until I poll the server manually.

Yes /me too - and it will happen. It will go into some kind of offline mode

Version:           1.4.1 (using KDE 3.0.1 (CVS >= 20020327))
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18
OS/Compiler notes:

I'm not sure if this is the same problem as 25879.

KMail keeps asking for an IMAP password not only once per poll but in the current KDE_3_0_BRANCH it seems to do this once per folder which is rather annoying.

I doubt that.

Still works here as always once per KMail session.

Do you by any change have any idea what did you before that happened or what
you did different that before?

Yes. I didn't understand the other bugreport immediately.

No idea. I quit and restarted kmail quite often cause I was trying to fix the
CipherTextDialog's default size. I was too lazy to enter the IMAP password
again and again so I hit Cancel where I noticed the problematic behavior. I
think I never hit that Cancel button before so I don't know when this
behavior appeared.

Tell me if I can help debugging in any way.

Cheers
