Version: 4.1.60 (using KDE 4.5.4) OS: Linux Changes to the <KatePartView> are only applied to the area where you performed them, but not to all areas. This is in conflict to the behaviour of i.e. the <kdevelop> toolbar which applies to all areas. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Pay attention how the <KatePartView> toolbar looks to two areas, i.e. Code and Debug 2. change the <KatePartView> arrangement of toolbar icons 3. observe that the toolbars have changed in the area where you adapted the toolbars Actual Results: 4. Switch to the other area and observe that the change hasn't been applied Expected Results: The change in the <KatePartView> toolbar should be applied to every area. Yes, they all have different configurations per area, I'm leaving open because I'm unsure if it's good or bad. Or at least, how bad this is.
