Version:           2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.80) 
OS:                Linux

Sometimes when you open settings and click on icon, kmail show another tab instead. After this ocured, you can't switch to needed tab. Only restart help.

I have no idea how to describe better so i publish screenshot. In it, i click on composer tab, but kmail show accounts tab.

It's also happens when switching tabs in kontact too.

It's not a kmail bug (if it's a bug) but a kdelibs bug

I'm appologize for the tone, but why you have doubts, that showing different tab instead of chosen -  not bug? And if it's kdelibs bug, why it appear only in kmail/kontact ?

And about reproduction. I couldn't find exact steps, it just happens sometimes. Any ideas how i can trace what cause that ?

And on new screenshot - i'm trying to change tab in kontact settings. As you can see choosen tab apears for half-second and fadding away, so i'm not able to change tab.

I've seen this to as has others on IRC and we have seen it in other programs then KMail so it's not a kmail bug.

However if it's a bug in qt, kdelibs or in the themes we were unable to determine.

Does the bug still happen with KDE 4.5.85 (Beta 2)?

As yet, no. I tried to click on settings/kontact tabs, but for now didn't got this bug.
Problem that i don't know exact steps to trigger this bug. In beta 1 it just appeared sometimes.

Still happens in kde 4.6 beta 2. As you can see i'm trying to enter template tab, but instead kmail show me retrieval tab.

Could you check if this only happens with Oxygen widget style? It is probably a duplicate of bug 252642.

I can't reproduce it anymore after upgrade to KDE 4.5.90 and Kontact 4.6 beta3. Seems it been fixed.

Only question is, close bug as fixed or duplicate? Cause as i understood they're similar.
