Description Henning Becker 2010-12-02 19:39:29 UTC
Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.5.80)
OS: Linux

KMail's tag list in folder column shows a bunch of tags with high numbers
of unread and total mails. Choosing one of these tags shows an empty message list. I have never used tagging for mails.

It seems, that KMail doesn't filter calendar events from objects assigned to a tag.

akonadiconsole's tag browser unveils that the shown tags are assigned to several calendar events of mime type: application/x-vnd.akonadi.calendar.event

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Tag some calendar events and restart Kontact.

Actual Results:
Used tag appears in KMail tag list.

Expected Results:
KMail should filter assigned object, which are no mails.
Comment 1 Christophe Marin 2011-01-12 20:45:49 UTC
Confirmed.

Steps:
Add an akonadi_nepomuktag_resource,
Launch KMail,

All the current tags are shown

I can confirm this as well on Gentoo and KDEPIM 4.6 from Git dated 2011-04-22.

This is pretty annoying. It shows *all* tags, inluding the ones from the address book.

I can confirm it.
=> not good.
Will look at it.

Don't know how to specify kmail tag.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 7 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 21:32:04 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
