Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux I just noticed that in 4.6 the widget buttons in the add widgets strip have less padding and thus the text is “crushed” but the buttons are smaller, resulting in a smaller list (less to scroll). But still the buttons have different sizes. There should be an option to just truncate widget names in the explorer to have all the same (sqaure?) size. I don‘t need to know “Chemistry: Did you know?”, “Chemistry: did…” being displayed would be sufficient since I would never consider using that widget at all ;) Reproducible: Always
How does the new KDE 4.9 QML Widget Explorer handle this case?
The first beta release is around the corner, you should be able to test soon :)
Fixed in 4.8.80 Names are truncated and all buttons have the same size.
Thank you for the feedback.
