Description pinguinpat 2010-12-01 00:09:14 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

Although my screen-saver is turned off in the power management, the display and monitor settings, my screen keeps on turning black after 10 minutes.

There isn't anything I can change in the BIOS of my laptop. Pretty annoying while watching films etc...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
After 10 minutes the screen goes black, the rest of the laptop remains normal without hibernate

Although the 'xset s off -dpms' command stops the screen saver from turning itself on, there hasn't been a bug fix.

The bug is related to Ubuntu (LTS) since KDE 4.5.1 works without the issue on Debian Squeeze.

The bug really should be fixed!! It's kind of annoying when you have to wake up your pc when giving a presentation!!!

Regards
