Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux KAdressbook seems to hide groups when a member of the group is a adressbook entery too. For example: I created a group "SW" and added servail contacts I dont had in the adressbook. After I created the group I add a new contact witch was alrady a entery in SW. As I finished creation of the contact, the group (sw) disapere. I cant find them anymore. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Create a contactgroup with a new contact/adressfield; finish the creation and add a new contact witch is in the former created group too. Actual Results: Group hide Expected Results: Group does not hide; Creation of the contact should not have any effect to the group. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-23-generic Compiler: cc
Hej, works fine in current version (4.6) of KAddressBook. Please make sure that the selected address book can store contact groups at all (e.g. Personal Contacts). The plain vCard file resource can't do that. Ciao, Tobias
Ok, thank you. I will try that as soon as 4.6 is included in kubuntu-launchpad-ppa regulary. I think that the adressbook was a vcard adressbook. But if they could not save groups, kmail should disable creation buttons from groups for that adressbooks. not everyone knows that vcard adressbooks are not able to save groups. Thanks again for your help.
