Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2010-11-26 12:30:57 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS: Linux

I am currently doing a project where I have a foil with icons on a layer backlit with LEDs. And I created the icons and layout with kolourpaint (it rocks, man!). But then I need to print it out to a specific size. I see no way of doing that. I always have to open Gimp and then print and the Gimp-printing dialog (I don‘t know if it is the default GTK+ dialog or modified/extended by Gimp) and set my printout size and click print (and hope that Gimp does not mess up the resolutions).
I just want to be able to do my stuff in kolourpaint and print it in like 170x120mm printout size (which in this case are 520 dpi because the file is 3400x2400px in size or so).

Reproducible: Didn't try

@Kai Uwe: Is this still a problem nowadays?
In general, the Qt print dialog used by KolourPaint does offer the possibility of choosing paper sizes ("Properties" -> "Page").
It is also possible to use custom page sizes there, which has only recently been fixed in Qt by Albert, s. https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/215054/ .

Is that already what you need or do you mean that a more advanced handling of any kind is needed?
