Version:           1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3) 
OS:                Linux

The default language of the spellchecker is not recorded when modified in the Sonnet configuration window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a new Composer window and select :
Settings->Spellchecker->Default language=French
Press OK button
Close the Composer window
Open a new Composer window and select :
Settings->Spellchecker

Actual Results:  
The Default language is still US english

Expected Results:  
Default language=French

It's not default language for all kmail but default language for specific composer.
You can change default to configure->identity->avanced.
