Description Sascha L. Teichmann 2010-11-25 10:48:35 UTC
When pressing the "magic next" button and you have an unread e.g contact
the unread contact is displayed as a normal mail.

This behavior is irritating ... at best.

Expected behavior: Don't jump to groupware objects with magic next.
Comment 1 Tobias Koenig 2010-12-09 12:14:43 UTC
Hej Sascha,

from a technical point of view, the kolab groupware objects are just normal emails, so the behavior 'jump to next unread email' is absolutly correct.
I'm not sure if it is worth to investigate the content of the unread emails (because this means we have to download the complete body of the mail) just to ignore it. But that's something the customer has to decide.

Ciao,
Tobias
Comment 2 Sascha L. Teichmann 2010-12-09 12:39:44 UTC
They are in hidden collections. So they should be ignored (statement from Volker and Till). -> bug.
Comment 3 Volker Krause 2010-12-10 08:56:52 UTC
There are two possible scenarios here:
- The Kolab folder is detected correctly and thus not visible in KMail. The next button should of course not jump into such a folder.
- The Kolab folder is not detected correctly (eg. due to broken annotations on the server). In this case the problem is elsewhere (eg. loss of annotations), we cannot detect such folders as Kolab folders as Tobias noted correctly.
Comment 4 Tobias Koenig 2010-12-10 09:39:12 UTC
Hej,

so for groupware folders which are correctly hidden after adding a Kolab resource, the magic next button doesn't jump to any groupware objects. So this part of the bug report is invalid.
If there is another bug with groupware folders not being hidden properly, we should open a new bug with matching title.

Ciao,
Tobias

Ludwig can you check if this still happens?

Kontact Touch Windows CE 20110218

The magic button doesn't work like expected. I have an unread mail in a subfolder of the inbox, select a mail in the inbox and click on the magic button.
But I doesn't jump to the unread mail.

So reopened.
Comment 7 Andre Heinecke 2011-02-22 15:19:51 UTC
This is unrelated, and more of a wish, you can argue that you do not want that behavior.

The original description has been fixed, so i am closing this bug. And since i do not think Comment #6 describes a bug i will not open a new one.
