Version: 4.5 (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux It would be really really cool if I could drag a window (in my case Okular with open pdf file) to KMail and KMail should attach the pdf-file I have opened in Okular! Same should be possible with Dolphin, etc. pp. Reproducible: Didn't try
What should happen when I drag a Dolphin window to KMail?
Arg. that's truly a problem. There are two possibilities: 1. Kmail should attach the whole folder to the current e-mail 2. the drag&drop feature should only work for apps that can open a single file (this would be for example: okular, kwrite, gwenview, ark, etc. pp.) For apps with tabs I could imagine the following solution: Take the active tab! Of course this feature is nonsense for some apps like dragging KMail and drop it somewhere. Now it's a bit clear? Cheers
This feature would be useful for me also. My use case is the following: - I find and open a pdf from a web browser into Okular. - If I like the pdf, I want to somehow drag&drop the pdf into Zotero (drag&drop from the Okular task bar would be best). Instead, I have to find the file with Dolphin and drag&drop it from there.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
