Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux version: kdepim-mobile 20101118.1198236-1maemo1.1198084 displaying the mails of a subfolder with about 770 mails need a long time (~30 secs) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Req: Have a subfolder with 780 old and a new mail. 1. Select the inbox 2. Select the subfolder Actual Results: After about 30 s the new mail appears Expected Results: Shouldn't need that long. (MAX 2 s)
Other test with about 2100 old mails shows that it needs 70 s to display the new mail the second time it is looked at. (The first time it needs about 5 mins or so.)
Hej, I committed a couple of performance patches yesterday, can you retest with a current version, please? Ciao, Tobias
On maemo it took ~10-15 sec until a folder with 1000 mails was displayed. On Wince it took ~10 times longer to synchronize it.
Ludwig, Björn, can you comment on how long it takes to display (not sync) a new email on CE. which I would think is the time it takes until I can see the new email that already is in the folder. Is there s difference in INBOX and a subfolder as the title suggests?
Bernhard for a simple pain/text mail it took ~5sec until it was displayed completely. My last test to sync a big folder were without the sqlite improvements from Sascha and Andre. Retesting is on my list of todos.
Björn, where the 5 seconds on ce in a folder with many emails?
Syncing a folder with 1000 new mails is much faster now. It took less then 10s until the first mails were shown in the folder list.
Bernhard I did restest opening a simple pain/text message in a 1000 mail folder and it got the same result as before when opening a mail in my inbox with ~150 mails.
Needs a test for email, contact and calendars now.
Mail Touch (Windows CE) 2011-01-16 Test of the description with old 1000 mails and a new mail. Needs 30-40 s for displaying the new mail. So still reproducable. Reopened
Since there is no immediate solution priority moved down to normal.
