I have exactly the same error. On Win7x64.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I tried the latest stable version and the beta one. Also, I tried both options for log saving. None worked, so no log files to attach. Greets and Happy New Year!!! :-) G.
Hi, I do not understand what you mean by disallow configuration? Are the options greyed out or do you get some error message? A screenshot would probably help to understand your problem.
At my own system, going settings -> configure, just crashes kleopatra.
Do you have some other KDE software installed? Kontact for example or stuff from the KDE-Windows installer? There might be a conflict. Can you try moving the folder %APPDATA%\.kde to some other location and start kleopatra afterwards. If this fixes your problem then your system configuration most likely got corrupted somehow and kleopatra tried to load the wrong configuration plugins.
Indeed this directory is not empty. :-) I have kde-win installed and there are data from some games there (kbattleship, kblocks, kmahjongg, kpat, and of course khelpcenter). I moved all the directories there to another location temporarilly but this didn't solved the problem. Kleopatra keeps crashing.
At my own system, the last beta version, works perfetctly! :-)
