Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux If I use a password with non-alphanumeric characters (like ì, à, è, ò and more) kdesudo not longer accepts the password. es: kpackagekit (or other apps) starts a kdesudo dialog which asks for the password, but fails to accept it. Starting kpackagekit from the command-line (sudo kpackagekit) works as expected. I have not problems with form login but only kdesudo. I think this is a huge bug because I can't use the password that I want. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: If use a password with non-alphanumeric characters (like ì, à, è, ò and more).
kdesudo is not part of the KDE Software Compilation. Please report this bug to your distribution. You could try kdesu, which is the official KDE su helper.
