A music CD file list that just comes up empty

Version: 2.0.1 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

I used to use CentOS 5.5 until about 3 weeks ago, and I made many CDs and DVDs whose contents files (*.k3b) I dutifully saved in order to re-create the same CDs in the future. I don't remember which version of K3B I was using, but I'm pretty sure it was pre-2.0. I now use Ubuntu and the new K3B cannot read many of those older .k3b files. This is a huge backwards incompatibility, but apparently it doesn't affect all older .k3b files - some work, others don't.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Start up K3B v.2.01
Locate an older .k3b file and try to open it

Actual Results:
Nothing shows up in the "files to burn" panel. Some show the disc name in the left panel, but most just show nothing.

Expected Results:
Either I should see the file list for the CD or I should get an error window with the list of files that have moved.

This seems to be most prevalent with audio CDs created from lists of mp3 or wav files, but the behavior is inconsistent.

BTW, I use K3B in a GNOME environment. The CentOS was GNOME 2.16, Ubuntu 10.10 is GNOME 2.32.

Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond.

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!

From what I can see, this problem still exists as I reported it.

When I opened my old k3b files, I either get empty lists or errors from the files not being found. The errors are correct (I have almost completely reorganized my files), but I don't understand the empty lists.

I currently run Xubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, k3b version 17.12.3.

I wouldn't call this urgent - I've deleted all the old k3b files because I don't need them anymore. I can't even remember the last time I used one, and I haven't used CentOS since 2010 when I switched to Ubuntu, then Xubuntu.
