If you type a file name it says “foo.bar [recently used file]” but typing in a program that is in kick off menu does only state either its name or both name and description. Often you know a program has to be in the kickoff and you find it using the find bar but you have no idea where exactly it is in the menu. So you always have to use the find bar (or search for it manually in the menu (editor)).
