Description Sabine Faure 2010-11-12 21:03:00 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

The Mark mail as Read functionality available from the Start Maintenance view does not seem to work properly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Req: some unread mails are in the inbox.

1. Select the inbox.
2. Click again on the inbox to start maintenance mode.
3. Select one unread mail.
4. Click on "Mark Mail as Read" or "Mark Mail as Important" in the left list.

Actual Results:
=> Nothing happens. (failure)

Expected Results:
The email should be marked as read.

I retested this today and I can still reproduce.

However, this seems to be only an update problem since the email is correctly marked as read if you do the following:

Repeat steps 1 to 4 from the description above
5. Unselect the email (its green check mark should disappear)

Actual result: the email is properly marked as read.

I could not reproduce the 'Mark as important' bug from the description above though.

Comment 3 Sabine Faure 2010-12-03 22:40:19 UTC
I retested this today and mark an email as important works for both the Imap inbox and its subfolders.

However, mark an email as read is still partly buggy for the Imap inbox and its subfolders: The option becomes 'Mark Mail as Unread' as it should once the user clicks on it but the selected email is still displayed in red whereas it should be displayed in black. if the user leaves the maintenance mode she can see that the emails are correctly marked as read however.

So there seems to be an unconsistency with those functionalities: one works both from the maintenance mode and in the Imap inbox and subfolders whereas the other can only be seen in the Imap inbox and subfolders.
