Description yuzyk 2010-11-05 23:44:44 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.2)
OS: Linux

Opening KMail in any way from the try icon opens the window on the current desktop rather than on the desktop where KMail was open. This is a change in behaviour from KDE 3.5.10, perhaps intentional, but annoying for multiple-desktop users who like to leave KMail on a single desktop. Perhaps this behavious can be configurable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a desktop that doesn't display KMail. 2. Use the tray icon to see "new messages in..." 3. See Kmail appear on the current desktop. The old behaviour was to switch to the desktop KMail was on before.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
