Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.5) OS: Linux I have a multi-user system, which is globally set to LANG=en_US.utf8 , but some users (like me) have a line like LANG=de_DE.utf8 (German) in their ~/.bashrc. (Each user may have a different setting / language.) Some programs, like Gimp, rely on those environment variables to choose the language of the user interface. If I start Gimp from the konsole, the GUI will be in German. However, if I start it from the K-Menu, it will unfourtunatly be in English. (Possibly because kdm is invoked from the system.) Therefore, I would like be able to tell the K-Menu to somehow source the ~/.bashrc or set per-user environment variables for all started programs. The same problem applies for the command launcher Alt + F2. Reproducible: Always
Is this still a problem in recent versions of Plasma 5, like 5.19 or later?
