Description Sabine Faure 2010-11-03 23:02:52 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

If the user clicks on an email needing the Load External References before activating that option then the 'Encapsulated message' link box and the 'By clicking here' message box are overlapping (see attachment enclosed).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Prerequisite: Forward a spam email to your Imap inbox on the N900 from your desktop computer.
There should be images within tables in that email and the following warning should be displayed at its top:
'Note: This is an HTML message. For security reasons, only the raw HTML code is shown. If you trust the sender of this message then you can activate formatted HTML display for this message by clicking here.'

- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Click on your Imap inbox
- Click on the forwarded email

Actual Results:
The 'Encapsulated message' link box and the 'Note: This is an HTML message. For security reasons, only the raw HTML code is shown. If you trust the sender of this message then you can activate formatted HTML display for this message by clicking here.' message box are overlapping (see attachment enclosed)

Expected Results:
The two message boxes should not overlap.

They should be displayed one under the other.

- Now go back to the Message List
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'View'
- Click on'Load External References'
- Click on the forwarded email

Actual Result:
The images that were not loaded initatially now are but the 'Encapsulated message' box and the actual image from the message are overlapping (see attachment#2 [details] enclosed.)

Expected Results:
There should be no overlapping

Note: other than the display pbs mentionned above the images from within the tables are correctly downloaded and displayed once the 'Load External References' functionality is selected.

It retested this bug today and I can still reproduce it.

It took me a while because the steps I entered were not accurate enough (I was most probably testing the HTML format before that one).

Here are the accurate steps:

Prerequisite: Forward a spam email to your Imap inbox on the N900 from your
desktop computer.
There should be images within tables in that email and the following warning
should be displayed at its top:
'Note: This is an HTML message. For security reasons, only the raw HTML code is
shown. If you trust the sender of this message then you can activate formatted
HTML display for this message by clicking here.'

- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Click on your Imap inbox
- Click on the forwarded email
- There are still display pbs (Warning red box overlapping Date and From fields, plain text body display pbs) but the boxes are not overlapping since the 'Encapsulated Message' one as been removed
- Go back to the Message list
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'View'
- Click on 'Prefer HTML to plain Text'
- Instead of plain text there should be empty boxes with broken images icons in them
- Reopen the tab and click on 'Load External References'

The pictures within the forwarded email should be displayed correctly.

However atm the plain text and the pictures are displayed on top of each other.
