Looking better at the backtrace, it seems to be a bit different.. it may be a different issue
Can you please tell me which file did you try to install? An URL would be nice, also can you reproduce it every time?
Hi Daniel, Thanks for contacting me and sorry for the delay in my response. I downloaded the 32bit rpm file from the google.com/chrome website. I don't remember the exact file name. Currently it is google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm, but I am not sure if it was the same file when I had the problem. The first two times I tried KPackageKit crashed. I tried it the third time on another day and it installed fine. OK, I'm closing as works for me since I can't reproduce it.
This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
