notification text after moving pictures

Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.5.2)
OS: Linux

I selected some pictures in an existing album and chose "move to album" from the right-click context menu. I created a new album/folder and clicked ok. After the moving was finished digikam send a notification to the systray which only showed some html, i.e. <a ...., as you can see in the screenshot attached.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Marcel,

What's that ?

I think that's done by KIO.
I dont know of any code where we'd send something to the nofication framework after copying

Just switched to 1.5 from 1.2 and I am now witnessing the same message ...
I move a folder from one collection to another collection and the result of the move is displayed in the notification framework as html ...

I just checked out the source from the 1.2.0 branch, and the problem described in this report is still present.
So I don't think it is a digiKam error, but a kdelibs issue? At least they seem to have changed API calls that we are using in a wrong way?

popup after move

Well, we're in 2.0.0 and it seems we're still displaying junk when moving albums across collections ...
I know this is only cosmetics but when time permits ....

Sven,

I cannot reproduce here.

problem still here in 2.3
Comment 9 Vincent Tassy 2011-12-15 18:36:38 UTC
Well, I'm only running 2.3 but the problem is still here; see attached screenshot, I just took it.

Maybe the description of the problem is misleading.
The pop-up doesn't actually display HTML ... it displays destinations as complex strings with parameters most of which are HTML-URL Encoded (%2F instead of / for example).

The net is that this information in the pop-up is absolutely unintelligible for the mere mortal ... Might as well remove it altogether and just leave it as "X files have been moved" if it's not possible to display something sensible.

Vincent,

What's news about this file with digiKam 3.5.0 ?

I'm still on 3.4 but it now works nicely !
Didn't notice what version actually fixed it though ....

I'm closing the defect. Thanks team !
