Created attachment 52820 [details] Screenshot showing problem with light colored theme Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux This happens on Kubuntu 10.10 (KDE 4.5.1) on a fresh user account. This did not occur on an old account where $HOME was copied over from older installation. Steps taken: 1. A test contact was created in kaddressbook with name, email, tags, phone. 2. In kmail, new message was selected. 3. The "Select" button next to "To:" was pressed. 4. The test contact showed on the list properly, was selected and "Add as To" was pressed. 5. The contact was inserted in the "To:" field but the text was invisible. It could be copied though (selected by triple clicking) to other fields. a. Entering text by hand to other fields presented no problem. b. Entering text by hand to this field when no recipient was already entered by "Select" or cleared by "x", presented no problem. c. Trying other dark color themes showed the problematic text entry with a white "empty" box. d. Entering more characters after the invisible text, would sometimes be displayed after the middle of the entry box Reproducible: Didn't try OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-22-generic Compiler: cc

I should add that it was tested with and without desktop effects and the situation was the same.
I see exactly the same bug here. To reproduce: 1. right click on an emailaddress to add it the addressbook 2. create new mail and try to autocomplete it with the name of the entry just added to the addressbook => Entry is not shown, but should appear under "Ressources" Additional info: o "Recent entries" works o Showing entry in kaddressbook works o Sometimes my addressbook is not shown in the dialgue for adding an entry.
I cannot reproduce this issue with the original steps or the ones in comment #3 The address in the "to" field is the correct one. Please retry with a recent kmail version.
