[Comment from a bug triager]
From bug 256545:
-- Information about the crash:
I received a professional email that asked for a confirmation receipt. Kontact
then crashed when I clicked "Yes" after Kmail asked me if I wanted it to send
the confirmation. This problem had not occurred before. After Kontact
restarted, i coild successfully send the confirmation receipt, no problem at
all.

kmail (1.13.6) on KDE Platform 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6" using Qt 4.7.1

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I opened a message that requested acknowledgement and the MDN popup was displayed.
Before I answered, another popup appeared, telling me that sending an (unrelated) outgoing message had failed, so I selected the Outbox.
Then I clicked 'Ignore' on the MDN popup and KMail crashed.

Thank you for your report. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained and the code has changed sufficiently in Kmail2 so the backtraces are not really useful anymore. Should you experience the same crash in Kmail 4.8.5 or later, please open a new report for Kmail2. Thank you for your understanding
