Version: 4.5 (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux KDE compromises user's privacy by not allowing to clear comboboxes history. (ie. local file search history). On windows vista and windows7 (and maybe xp, but not tested there), when I open a combobox with history, I can delete a individual item by highlighting it and then pressing the DELETE keyboard key. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1) Open KDE File Search (Ctrl+F on Dolphin). 2) There are two comboboxes, both have history from previews searches. 3) Open the list from one of the comboboxes. 4) Highlight one of the itens on the list by mouseovering it or by navigating (up/down) on keyboard. 5) Press DELETE key on keyboard Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: The highlighted item (step 4) should be deleted/removed from the history list from that combobox. Would be nice too if a item could be deleted from the history when the user press the x button (looks like this "<X]"), at the right side of the combobox. Independent from the method, at least one option should be available to provide privacy to users on every type of KDE feature that offers history. The method presented here is fast and discrete (no GUI intrusive), and already is default on other operating systems at least over past 4 years.
Can't delete individual items from combobox history. Still a privacy problem on 4.14.
Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.
