Can you please attach a backtrace of the crash?

I've installed kdebase-dbg and rebooted my computer, but backtrace is still empty. What should I do?

Probably the issue is related to strigi. Could you please install the debugging-packages for kdesupport + kdelibs too? Thanks!
Comment 4 Andrew Khomyakov 2010-10-19 21:16:58 UTC
installation of debugging packages had no effect. strange.

but i've run dolphin in console and saw this debug output:

IMG_2328.CR2: Warning, incorrect count for field "BitsPerSample" (3, expecting 1); tag trimmed.
TIFFReadDirectory: Warning, Photometric tag is missing, assuming data is YCbCr.
TIFFReadDirectory: Warning, SamplesPerPixel tag is missing, assuming correct SamplesPerPixel value is 3.
KCrash: Application 'dolphin' crashing...

[Comment from a bug triager]
If the KDE Crash Handler dialog is not appearing you can retrieve the needed information ("backtrace") using the steps detailed at http://techbase.kde.org/User:DarioAndres/CreateUsefulReports#Retrieving_a_backtrace_with_GDB
Thanks

Same here, Canon RAW files from Canon 60D. Dolphin crashes while trying to generate a preview, as soon as I move the mouse pointer over a cr2 file.
You can reproduce the problem yourself, there are cr2 filed on the dpreview website in Canon 60D review section. Have a look here:

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos60d/page14.asp

almost at the bottom "RAW files for download". Just try the first one:

I just wanted to add this crash takes place with Konqueror as well. Always.
KDE version in my installation is now 4.5.4, Fedora 14.
When started from Konsole, it opens OK, then shows the previews of the CR2 files for some short time, then crashes giving off the same kinda error as in the comments above.

Hope that helps,
