Sorry for cranking up the severity and priority, but this issue can have severe consequences.
Comment 2 Rolf Eike Beer 2010-10-18 19:39:46 UTC
I can't see this. Please do:

gpg --list-keys --with-colons "id of key to test" | grep ^pub

go to KGpg, change the trust, klick ok

gpg --list-keys --with-colons "id of key to test" | grep ^pub

The 10th field of the line should have changed. If that does not change, then please:

-terminate KGpg
-start KGpg from a terminal
-change the trust
-paste any messages from the terminal that appeared after you started changing the trust
Comment 3 Richard Hartmann 2010-10-18 22:46:19 UTC
OK, this is even weirder but not quite as bad (though it's still potentially harmful):

The trust in the back-end is changed, but the visual representation in kgpg is not.

If I quit & restart kgpg, it shows the correct trust level so it has to be some caching issue.
Comment 4 Rolf Eike Beer 2010-10-19 08:27:51 UTC
If you press Ok you tell KGpg to change the key. Afterwards it will reload the
key with the new values. I fear you are just too fast, just wait a moment so
it can refresh itself.
Comment 5 Richard Hartmann 2010-10-20 19:50:14 UTC
At least with 4.5.1, no matter how long I wait, the trust level is not updated.

I could not try with 4.5.2, yet.

Any news on this?
