Description Gunther Piez 2010-10-12 11:09:44 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.2)
OS: Linux

If the effect is enabled, bringing overlapping windows repeatedly to front or to back causes parts of the windows not to be redrawn.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Enable "Slide Back" desktop effect (under Focus).
Move some windows, so that they are overlapping.
Bring the to front or to back, so that the slide effect is triggered. Change to another virtual screen with an open windows.
Klick into one of the windows and notice parts of it disappearing. Konsole seems most suspectible to this while marking text, but other windows can disappear too. Klicking on the title seems to trigger it more often.
May take some time, but sooner or later it will happen. Just leave the effect on.

i think this is a dupe and fixed.

@gunther: does this still happen for you with recent KDE versions?

This is fixed at least at 4.6.0.
