openstreetmap places
Comment 2 Philippe ROUBACH 2010-10-12 10:50:16 UTC
my example (the joined screens) is not a good one

i discovered a big error in google map. the bridge "simone de beauvoir" is not at the right place compared to satellite photo !

this is a lesson. use always map and satellite to put at the right place a photo

addendum : can we expect the use of OSM for geolocalization ?

>can we expect the use of OSM for geolocalization ?

==> Already implemented in kipi-plugins 2.0.0

Locations in OSM versus Google Maps in GPSSync version 2

In GPSSync which will be in KIPI Plugins version 2, you can make a split view between Google Maps and Openstreetmap. Here, you can also see that the maps do not overlap correctly, but there is nothing we can do about it.
