Description Hans-J. Ullrich 2010-10-10 11:18:31 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.6)
OS: Linux

Dear maintainer team,

I discovered, that konqueror is sometimes loosing its settings for the tolbar.
In my case I added "HTML-Tools" (in German this is named "HTML-Werkzeugleiste", and then I locked the toolbar.

But, when a website crashed (due to problems with javascript for example), this setting is disappeared as well as with the "HTML-Tools". So I have to configure the toolbar again (unlock, set, lock).

The only explanation for this IMO is, that at every crash, some "default" configuration is overwriting my own. Despite, this should not happen, as the option "locking toolbar" in this case might be useless.

If would be nice, if yopu could have a look at it, or, if this is no bug and wanted this way, I will be pleased for a little feedback.

Thank you very much for reading this.

Best regards

Hans-J. Ullrich

Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond.

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!

Hi Andrew,

thank you for taking care of this problem. However, since I am using another computer meanwhile (my fast computer died) and switched to my old, slow computer, I also switched to another browser (it is palemoon).
So at the moment I can not test it.

But during the next week I will get some spare parts for my fast computer (mainboard), so that IU can test it thgen again.

If you like to close this bug, it will be ok for me. Additionally I will keep this bug in my mind, and if this bug appears again, there is always the option to reopen it again.

So, if you like, just close this bug as fixed, also with the view, that the mentioned konqueror version is rather old and "orphaned".

If I get any new informations, I will file them as soon as possible.

Again, thanks for the feedback and

best regards

Hans
