I was selecting multiple images in the thumbnail view by CTRL+click with the mouse. I made a mistake in that I started ragging the selection: a popup appeared and when I hit ESC to cancel the action the program crashed.
I tried to repeat the error condition, and I noticed that if I hit "cancel" everything behaves as expected. I could not repeat the error, though.
