Description Michael Grivas 2010-10-04 10:17:24 UTC
Version: 0.1 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

If an account has a problem (wrong passwd, no connection etc), no information AT ALL is shown. Only a "No new messages".
On the other hand, kmail alone produce (through the KDE notifications) a proper, clear and full message.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Use an account (e.g. to gmail), changing to something wrong the port or the passwd.
Try to get email (in kontact).

Actual Results:
Message appears "No new messages" instead of error.
KDE Notification area does not change.
No problem notification.

Expected Results:
KDE Notification area should show the problem (as in kmail),
or
Kontact should come up with a message about the problem,
or
any -obvious, clear- problem notification.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-default  (openSUSE 11.2 ++)
Compiler: gcc

Closing this report. It is no longer relevant in kdepim > 4.6 (pop or imap resources open a dialog when the connection fails)
