Description heikki 2010-10-03 11:00:40 UTC
Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

I have KOrganizer pointing to 3-4 calendars, and occasionally when I come to the machine, there is a dialog box saying "Authorization failed". It does not say when it failed, or which calendar (or other resource) it tried to authenticate against. This makes it pretty hard to find the problem.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Leave KOrganizer on overnight, pointing to various calendars. Wait until network problems, remote servers off-line, or something else goes wrong.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-5-amd64
Compiler: cc

Most of the time my KOrganizer points to two remote calendars, both with the sftp protocol. For example sftp://bagel/home/heikki/calendar/heikki-id.ics

Please find out which resource displayed that dialog and re-assign this bug to the correct product.

How am I supposed to do that, when the error message does not say which resource it talks about?

All I can tell that occasionally I also get messages that say something about "Akonadi resource", and "Authentication failed". Again without any useful information. I have filed that as but 276115.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
