Version:           4.0.0 (using KDE 4.4.5) 
OS:                Linux

I am visually impaired user and therefore need to work with dark background colors. I worked with kompare in KDE 3.5 and it looked good.
Kompare now doesn't use the sysem defaults. Therefore the background and font colors need to be adjustable as well.
