Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux In Device Actions setup, actions defined by *.desktop files in /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/ cannot be deleted: the grayed button says this. This happens because they're owned by root. However, that's not what we call 'good usability': there should be a way to delete them. My suggestion: create some empty *.desktop file in $HOME that will replace an action to be deleted, and call this 'Disable'. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to delete a Device Action defined in /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/ (or some any system-wide place) Actual Results: 'Cannot Delete' button Expected Results: 'Delete' button active
Agreed. It's definitely annoying to not be able to disable any of the device actions that come with KDE. Pretty much the _only_ one that I ever want is "Open with File Manager," but because "Download Photos with Gwenview" is also there and undeletable, I have to click on every drive twice to able to open it - once on the drive and once on "Open with File Manager," whereas if "Open with File Manager" were the only option, then I'd just have to click the once.

Confirmed on git master, this still can't be disabled.
