Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-09-30 15:12:50 UTC
Version: 4.4.4 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

The documentation for the Host Object Model provided by Konqueror is unavailable and probably does not exist. This means that Konqueror cannot be used (at least not officially) for JavaScript-driven Web applications that need to interact with the browser.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
Tell Konqueror to show the specifications [1].

Actual Results:
1.
The host object model (KJS::Window) is not described or referenced. Only the document object model is described.

Expected Results:
1.
A reference to the documentation of KJS::Window (which is, BTW, undocumented as an API) and covering DOM extensions like HTMLInputElement::selectionStart.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.3-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
