Description Sven Eden 2010-09-30 08:19:55 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (0.3)
KDE Platform Version: 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1) (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.6.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.35-gentoo-r7 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Gentoo Packages

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Attached an external monitor, went to systemsettings->Display&Monitor->Activated VGA1->Hit "Apply"
The second monitor got activated and plasma crashed.

I have read a lot of Bug reports the assistant showed me, but all that looked like related have either been marked as duplicates of bugs which described something completely differen (like using plasmoids/show dashboard) or were marked as FIXED in 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, or newer QT. But with KDE-4.5.1 and QT-4.6.3, according to these reports, this crash shouldn't happen any more.

plasma-desktop (0.3) on KDE Platform 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1) using Qt 4.7.0

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I'm using "disper" (nvidia graphics card) to switch to a dualscreen setup. With this KDE version, everytime i apply the setup to use the 2nd monitor, Plasma crashes.
Laptop screen has resolution of 1920x1200, external monitor to add, has 1600x1200.
