repaint error

Version: 1.5.0 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

We have a repaint error in preview mode, see the attached screenshot.

I tried to fix it by calling repaint(), update(), hiding it, raising it again, all kind of things, but it didn't fix the issue.

The bug might not be that important because there is a chance that we implement the dockbar widget patch by Luc Vieillescazes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a movie

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

yes, definitively, the patch from Luc must be included...

The paint problem is certainly due of a direct video card access done by the phonon backend (as Xine)

What about the dockbar widget patch? We have never applied it. What happened to it?

Andi,

The file still on bugzilla. I posted all my remarks about, because, it's not perfect, but author as never responded.

So, we need to take this patch, adjust it to be applied against git/master, and improve it on the right way.

I'm on holiday and can not compile it (and I have problems with boost, too)... But I know that it was broken 2 weeks ago...
Comment 6 Andi Clemens 2011-12-21 00:23:34 UTC
Yes, still valid

With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary.
